About half way through producing this painting I wanted to rename it, “Concentrating Into Agony”. Its my on going joke as an artist that there are times you can actually lose the wholesomeness of what you are painting – your eyes begin to lose focus and cannot see what you want them to see in order to move forward. That’s the point where you ring a friend and say, “I’m coming over with a few beers,” and you step away from the painting for 24 hours.
The aim with this painting was to catch a moment in time. Aldinga Beach and surrounding areas are fast becoming more exciting and vibrant every year. As a local artist, its a pretty inspiring environment to be in.
